His oeuvre is known for its brilliant palette and geometric forms that depict rural life and festivities. Additionally, one distinct feature of his works is his miniature, high-level-angle depiction of these activities, highlighting the Filipino sense of camaraderie and community.

Manuel Baldemor’s Hungarian Experience offers a landscape—a roofscape—viewed from a high vantage point. It depicts the varied roofs of the buildings he observed during his travels to Hungary, a landlocked country in Central Europe known for its rich architecture, shaped by medieval castles and neoclassical buildings. With his translucent and evocative shapes and pastel colors, this 2001 piece evokes a whimsical, surrealistic atmosphere. Looking at it evokes awe and an overwhelming rush of emotions, transporting viewers to a new, enchanting place.
