Breaking reality apart and rebuilding it through an explosion of colors, movements, and cubist gestures. <br><br> Featuring three human figures facing a net full of fish, Antonio creatively used geometric shapes to portray his subjects in angular forms—distorting their bodies in such a way that they almost blend with the objects that surround them. The details of the fish, nets, limbs, and poles are all pointed in different directions to create a sense of crowdedness and movement on the canvas—simulating what it feels like to be in a fish market where people move and interact with each other after a fresh haul. Every detail overlaps with each other to create one energetic mass of shapes and colors that seemingly communicates physical labor explosively and continuously. It transforms the folk subject into something more colorful, fragmented, and almost musical.
