On her first solo art exhibition at Galerie Raymond Creuze, she presented her works with linear and geometric elements and later experimented with a syringe technique similar to Fernando Zobel and Lee Aguinaldo, painting delicate loops and spatters on softly brushed grounds. <br /><br />Her collection of works could be divided into two: The Manila works and the Paris works. Most of her paintings created during her time in Manila were figurative, holding a sense of nostalgia for the place and people of her homeland. On the other hand, her works in Paris moved fluidly through cubism, impressionism, and even surrealism. Saguil’s signature pieces possess recurring themes of geometric shapes repeating into patterns that seem to symbolize either the universe at large or the microscopic level or a combination of both.
