He distorts his figures into decorative forms, merging them with objects and other elements of the surroundings which results in visual images with textural effects thereby providing the viewers with an entirely new experience as seen on these masterpieces.<br /><br />\n He defined his shapes with linear clarity, then blurring adjacent areas into the washed-out tones. In his recent canvases, colors are more intensely opaque, no wonder, art critic Jolico Cuadra once wrote about Antonio’s art:<br /><br /> \n“He explodes them, rendering them in brisk, impatient strokes that shatter their natural boundaries. They are no longer simply decorative …[but are] now fiercely emotional symbols.
