When he settled down in Ermita, Manila, Gorospe joined with a group of artists and opened his own gallery in Mabini where the influence of the city could be seen in his paintings - there were more structured houses, changes in the faces, and the market scenes such as these masterpieces. Paco, together with Roger San Miguel and Francisco Ello were called the Mabini Triumvirate.<br /><br /> The artist gave all that he had to something he derived fulfillment from and made it his life’s vocation. As Roger San Miguel commented way back in 2011, <br /><br />“Paco was a spontaneous, dedicated fast learner, able to control his colors and break conventional norms. Back then, the conventional style of painting landscapes and human interest subjects was the norm and the taste of people leaned towards the traditional.
