With his signature cubist form, he depicts a woman throwing herself dramatically over what looks to be rock formations. His adept mastery of the human anatomy takes center stage as he depicts the shape and contour of the woman’s naked back for the audience to see. Here, Legaspi creates an image that embodies the postwar Neo-Realist movement, of which Legaspi is one of its most noted proponents, so incredibly detailed and precise that it could easily have been mistaken for a final work rather than a simple study.
