Engaged\nin an every expanding quest for the refinement of his\ntechnique, he has even ventured into computer-aided\ndesign and three dimensional printing. <br /><br />In Antares, we see the cuatro, which could be an early\nSpanish guitar, or its South American counterpart,\nsingled out and elevated against highly contrasting\ntextured color-blocks of red, cream, black and\nwhite. This instrument, as well as the fiery red color\npredominant, not only in this work, but in many works\nby Carlo Magno, reflects his love for Hispano-Filipino culture, which prefigures in his body of work through\nrealistic mestizas in Maria Clara and bahay-na-bato\nin whole or in detail.
