These  works still bear Malang’s unmistakably unique and interesting qualities  but possess a much more experimental and freeing aura compared to  his more popular works.<br /><br />  In his later years, Malang became a devout Christian, citing his Godgiven gift of intuition as the guiding light of his creative endeavors.  Malang once stated that at first, he was not sure why he converted or  why he suddenly became so devout. For Malang, his faith could not  be explained no matter how many times he tried to articulate it. But  eventually, he realized that although faith is not bound to reason, it  does mean that it is any less important.<br /><br />  Malang understood faith as a complementary language to reason, one  that is felt rather than read or heard. Much like his faith and intuition,  this particular piece does not concern itself with strict and rigid forms,  but with emotions and feeling. A radiant light covers the majority of the  piece, with pastiches of color seemingly following suit. Though formless  and vague, one cannot help feel an ineffable sense of grace when  confronted with the piece’s seemingly incandescent glow.
