The \nfeeling is similar to being transported to a secret abundant garden, a hideaway \nin the countryside. His brilliant colors of emerald green, soft blue, white and \nstark black blend in smooth flow in square canvases. The mood is soothing. \nThe spirit, carefree yet quiet.\nManila-born Concepcion finished his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the \nUniversity of the Philippines in 1953. In 1961, he became a scholar of \nthe Italian government and was sent to the Accademia di Belle Arte in Rome \nfor his postgraduate studies, wherein he finished his Master of Fine Arts \n(Licenziato di Pittura) in 1964.\nConcepcion exhibited extensively locally and abroad, as well as won local and \ninternational awards.
