In “Cotton Fiend #1,2 and 3,” she employs a softer  approach and a more colorful palette in her depiction of the roadside treat: cotton candy.  In these works, however, the blobs of sugary confection appear monstrous, otherworldly, and, to use her word, “fiendish.” Through deftness of touch, they are rendered with agency, engulfing a hand or seemingly growing inside a sheet of plastic.
