Although the artist allows room for his figures to be defined, he renders them all crammed in tightly — alluding to his kenophobic intent.\nThis almost suffocating feeling, if anything, is Montemayor’s take on the dense cityscape we find ourselves in. Here, we, the inhabitants, all vie for space in an increasingly chaotic environment. The cyclists in full speed, meanwhile, refers to the rat race and the fast-pace world at present.","lot_group":"Painting","lot_details_html":"
Ferdie Montemayor (b.1965)
a.)
