In the first half of the work is a line drawing of a man operating a backhoe on which lightbulbs (that can be turned on and off) are placed, taking the form of a signage that we usually see on the street to guide motorists when road repair is taking place.  The incorporation of the signage enfolds a part of the world in the ambit  of the pictorial space, puncturing the membrane between the real and the depicted.   Borlongan was inspired by the men at work in highways on his way home to Zambales which made him recreate the lighted arrow sign.  The other half of the work, Borlongan has depicted a worker, whose face is covered with cloth, who seems to gesture at an  impending uprising.  The sky behind him is red and threatening, providing a suitable  backdrop to the promise and premise of a revolt.  In both panels, the agency of the  workers is ascertained, pointing at two distinct scenarios:  continuity or change, stasis  or sea change.
