The sophisticated balance  of his restricted palette is enhanced by the uneven application of paint and the square format divided in two.  The left half is in an almost monochromatic dark brown and the right half  is a soft collision of white and blue strokes.  Yet the severe regularity is so persistent that each subtle variation in the strokes on either side takes on special weight.\nIn doing so, the artist allowed colors the illusionism of being mere atmospheric space.  Prim and restrained, the colors embody the artist’s primal sensibility: they are colors of Albor’s reflections  and memories, capable of picking up occasional glints of colors.  In 1976, he was a Thirteen Artists Awardee from the CCP.\nAs a painter, he has participated in major exhibitions and art events in the Philippines, USA,  Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and China.
