Later in his career,  he would occasionally reference the silhouettes of objects in his works, such as the  pinwheel or the anthurium.  In these two works, the shape of a cashew can be  ascertained (a combination of the bell-shaped fruit and the kidney-shaped nut), which is then repeated across the pictorial space.
