He affirms that emotion has no major role in his art. Close study of the Luz still lifes reveal elegant lines as well as a volume whose basis is still lineation. His art is not so much expressive as it is constructional; it delights in abstract, mechanical, architectonic inventions, in geometric shapes and rhythms rather than in organic, natural forms.
