Anading is a conceptual artist known for his cutting edge video work and photography. His portraits of the ubiquitous rags, made of scrap fabric and sold in Philippine city streets, introduce color to his largely black and white aesthetic. These portraits also continue his earlier resolve to bring the oft-ignored and discarded, such as his previous images of faceless Filipinos whose faces he hides in a flash of light, to a place of prominence as they take on a higher importance by being the subject of art.","lot_group":"PAINTING","lot_details_html":"
Poklong Anading (b.1975)
a.)
