Ocampo. In this abstract interpretation of the cityscape, one detects the pulsing vitality, if not the erotic emotion, that infuses his colors and forms. The seeming &quot;order under chaos&quot; is palpable in the jumble of his shapes which, at different, vantage points, cohere into a unified whole, an undeniable tonal symphony.\n\nIn most of his works, the center of gravity is often located in the middle of the pictorial surface, with the colors and dark tones spreading outward but still held together by opposing tensions: a seeming expansion and contraction of energy, suggesting the moment of release. Evident here is an active spread, which is akin to the networks and nodes of the urban.\n\nOcampo's floating shapes form a tight configuration, featuring a rich palette of reds as well as yellows, crimsons, and purples. Ocampo’s space vibrates with the pleasure of simultaneous impulses, as though beneath his signature cells is the genesis of a more potent, omnipresent force.","lot_group":"PAINTING","lot_details_html":"<p><strong>Hernando R.
