His images are varied — and Luz has been consistent in not being so much concerned with detail as he is interested in showing the possibilities of his art. His paintings, drawings, sketches, and prints are inevitably lean and spare. \nArturo Luz has devoted his sixty plus year career to a highly stylized version of minimal austerity.\nThrough discipline, he has built his reputation around distinct visual worlds stripped of distraction and sentiment. \nAs such, his aesthetic introspection leads to realities and forms that are designed rather than reproduced.","lot_group":"PAINTING","lot_details_html":"
Arturo Luz (1926 - 2021)
a.)
