With his landmark diaphanous series of artworks, Olazo was able to carve for himself a unique, and revered place in the local art scene, garnering him the much sought-after Thirteen Artist Award from the Cultural Center of the Philippines in the early 70s. \nThese two works from 1986 bare imprints of his overriding diaphanous collection – visions of light, translucent, exuberant— yet, rather than being monochromatic, a burst of bold, arresting colors suffuse each piece, displaying his evolution and growth as an artist, and his foray into non-objectivism.","lot_group":"PAINTING","lot_details_html":"<p>Romulo Olazo (1934 - 2015)<br />(a.)
