Vilmansa’s works emphasize dynamic, vibrant colors. Albeit popularly known for his works depicting popular cartoon characters, Vilmansa has also delved into abstraction, in which the sublime fluidity and delicacy of lines are brought to the surface. The two works at hand, painted in 2016, exemplify Vilmansa’s mastery in rendering lines with sheer spontaneity and gracefulness. Interestingly, Vilmansa graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. Vilmansa’s formal training, paired with his impeccable color and linear sensibilities harnessed the refinement in his art, in which texture, lines, colors, and forms all dance in harmony.

Aside from his solo projects, Vilmansa has worked in special collaborations with Vans, RWB (2014), Volkswagen Manila (2017), and Ikea Sweden (2018), all projects proving his soughtafter talent and artistry. Vilmansa is also a well-traveled artist, having mounted solo exhibitions and joined group shows in numerous cities in Asia, Europe, Oceania, and North America, including Manila, Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Paris, Venice, London, Sydney, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston.
