Her pieces imbibe a quintessential maximalist Filipino quality, with every square inch of her canvas overflowing with colors and elements.

This snapshot of the Filipino scene is evident in her 1980 Mother and Child. Putting her own twist on the classic topic, Belleza puts her mother and child in a local market setting with fruits and goods surrounding the pair. Through her vibrant oil paintings, Belleza gives an unabashedly Filipino image, dousing her work with the local atmosphere and the native values that come with it.
