Notable for his oil paintings\ndepicting genre scenes, rural landscapes, and Filipina maidens, he also created several pencil\nand charcoal sketches. Ever the prolific artist he is, Diego continued to grace the Philippine art scene\nwith his works even in his last years. Painted in 1982, a few years before his demise in 1988, Harvest\nScene encapsulates a familiar scene during harvest season. This piece depicts farmers engrossed in\ntheir tasks while a young maiden holding a guitar seems to be entertaining them, adding a festive\nflavor to the otherwise taxing work.
