Using an extensive process that recreates halftone images and Ben-Day dots, his works toe the line into photorealism, using techniques that remind the viewers of old, fading photos and almost tangible nostalgia.

His 2019 Tad-tad takes this nostalgia and molds it. Using an old, tattered photograph of a woman whose face was too faded to recognize, Guilaran heightens the sense of longing for the past. Multiple thumbtacks have been noticeably used on this photo, suggesting that whoever owns this photo cherished it enough to take it with them wherever they go, sticking the picture up on a wall over and over again to the point of almost nonrecognition.

Siefred's works utilize a tedious pointillistic method that, when coupled with old photos, highlights a sense of longing for the past and a reclamation of the memory that fades along with it.
