While they may not adhere to the traditional pictorial unity observed in conventional scenes, particularly within the context of academic and genre painting, they succeed in transmitting a surreal depiction of the human subconscious. Instead, one may view the work’s of Taniguchi as sort of collage or tapestry; one that unfolds and unfurls the hidden truth of our world. In this particular triptych, Taniguchi reveals to us an almost abstract yet familiar narrative. Here, images of flora and fauna are not only placed side-by-side, but intertwined. In doing so, Taniguchi explores the similarities of two things often seen as separate and different. Here, the artist presents us with a oneness that unites us all.

Through her art, Taniguchi invites viewers into a world of mystery and intrigue, offering them a glimpse into the depths of the human psyche. Her work challenges conventional notions of reality, inviting interpretation and contemplation.

In 1985, Cristina \"Kitty\" Taniguchi completed her academic journey with a master's degree in English and American Literature from Silliman University. However, it was in the realm of painting that she found her true passion.

Since then, Taniguchi's artistic journey has been defined by an unwavering dedication to her craft. Her paintings are characterized by a profound utilization of symbols and imagery, imbuing her work with an unfolding and ethereal quality.
