This chosen art piece by Vicente Manansala’s grand daughter, Ronna Manansala, is animated in order to bring it to life. While one views the animation, the voice of Gemino Abad can be heard as he reads his poetry that suits the theme of the painting. As a special treat to collectors, this piece will have an Augmented Reality treatment that can be viewed on the Artivive App when pointed to the painting.

For this particular painting, one of Manansala’s notable works, titled\n“Bayanihan.” This painting captures the essence of the bayanihan\nspirit, a Filipino cultural tradition rooted in communal unity and\ncooperation. Depicted within the artwork are individuals coming\ntogether to move a traditional Filipino house, known as a bahay kubo,\nto a new location.

Manansala’s “Bayanihan” encapsulates the artist’s ability to blend\nelements of abstraction and figuration, showcasing the workers as a\ndynamic sense of community. Manansala is renowned for his distinct\nstyle called “transparent cubism,” which fuses traditional Filipino art\ntechniques with cubist principles.

Ronna chose this piece because, “When I first saw it then in GSIS, I\nwas simply amazed because of the mens’ stature. How the muscles\nwere painted, the arms that carried the house, the feet and how their\nheads were positioned. It also reminded me of the Filipino character\nna “mahusay makisama”, typically would help a neighbor in need.”","lot_group":"PAINTING","lot_details_html":"
Manansala NFT
Manansala x Abad
For each NFT that gets sold includes:
a. an NFT (of the artwork with animation and spoken voice of Abad)
b.
