The grotesqueries of his strange bouquets from the Black Period as well as his elegant blooms in vibrant colors of yellow, red, green, and blue are all evocative of the phases he went through in life. He experiments with diverse mediums and techniques, using dissonant colors and strange textures to exude an intense and enigmatic mood, as observed in the lots at hand.
