In that year, Albor held a solo show titled “Era,” a joint project of DF Art Agency and León Gallery International. For the exhibit, art critic Cid Reyes wrote a catalog where he said, “Abstraction, after all, is a language of the spirit, but the practice of which, alas, can easily lead to a visual sorry mess, as if the artist had painted with his eyes closed and hoped for the best.”<br /><br />The abstract works of Albor, although often not depicting reality, are seen and understood as conceptual and sometimes philosophical. For this particular piece, he committed to the ambitious task of translating physics into painting. He is also known to incorporate colors with meanings. As often described, Albor’s black signifies “consuming.” Gray, according to Reyes, connotes the “inexpressible.” Also, gray is considered as the color of intellect, enigma, and restraint. A dash of red stands out in the achromatic canvas, uncertain though if it is meant to be the start or the end of the black line. According to Color Psychology, red is associated with strong emotions.
